Our Pastor
Rev. Wayne Sawyer, Pastor
Welcome to the website for the Free Methodist Church of
Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Our purpose is to share with you what God is doing
among us as a worshipping, serving, shining community on the hill in East
Franklin Township, Armstrong County.
Pastor Wayne and Becky Sawyer came to the congregation in June 2005
having ministered in other churches in western Pennsylvania including
Fairchance, Oil City, Erie and Van. They also served for one year with the
Department of World Missions in southern Africa.
Wayne is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and Pittsburgh
Theological Seminary and has 30 plus years of pastoral ministry experience. The
Sawyers have two adult children, Erica and Greg, who also live in the western
Pennsylvania area.
Becky is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with experience in
social work, state government and music. They enjoy living in Manor Township,
Ford City with their cat, Alex.
We are here to serve you and we enjoy meeting new friends. Call or
stop by the church office Monday (1-4 PM) or Tuesday through Friday (9AM – 1
PM). Evenings or Saturdays are best arranged by appointment. Let’s have a cup
of coffee together and talk!
